Went in earlier today because my car was making some funny noises. As they started shortly after I had my transmission fluid flushed, I was worried it was a transmission issue. Right after I walked in, we took a quick ride, within a few minutes he told me that the transmission was 100% fine and it was just my power steering fluid was low. He showed me where the dip-stick for power steering fluid was and where to put it in and said to put some more in, then check it once a week to see if it's leaking and if so how much it's leaking. Said if it's very little, just to keep topping it off, but if it goes down quickly to come back and see him. Didn't charge me a penny, didn't make anything up so he could charge me a penny, gave me cheap thing to try before paying for an expensive repair, and the only damage done was the $6 at autozone for the powers steering fluid. Friendly and honest.

Both John (front person) and Jack (owner) were knowledgeable, courteous, and sensitive to my concerns. I went in for a diagnostic review one day and returned a few days later. My car was serviced within a few hours and the repairs suggested by another repair service were not necessary. My time and costs were minimal in comparison. I've already recommended Westside Transmission to friends.

I needed to replace my transmission (Jaguar XK8 / 1997). After doing a little researching (I selected Westside Transmission). I'll start this review with why I selected Westside. 1. I received two quotes from Jaguar dealers (Hornburg, and Thousand Oaks). Both quotes were over $7,000 to replace the transmission. Both of these dealers originally instructed me that the transmission fluid never needed to be replaced (life long transmission fluild). Long story ,short - you must replace the transmission filter and fluid ever 20K period. The dealers love to sell their clients transmissions! 2. After speaking with John (service manager) and Jack DeBasc (owner) - I had my car serviced at Westside. 3. Jack and his team were professional: no surprises, a fraction of the dealer quote, and took care & time to get the job done. 4. I have owned my Jag for over 11 years and have good knowledge of the engine/electric components. Jack knew more than I did - I plan to bring my car for annual servicing. If you need your transmission, engine or electrical work (CPU modules) you must check these guys out! Its your car (and money). Thanks Jack.

Jack is the best--he keeps my 1999 Passat running. He's extremely knowledgeable, reliable, and honest. A straight-shooter and very nice guy. Prices are reasonable too.

Went to my trusty local tech, he thought my 04 sentra needed a transmission job, I was referred to a transmission shop-Jack diagnosed it as the clutch, he was right. Looks like I save a grand or two. Both shops honest, westside got it right and save $$$.

I recently took my Acura Integra back to Westside for a new clutch. Years before they had put in a clutch, it worked great beyond the miles expected. They were on budget and on time, what more can you ask for in an auto repair service

Recently the transmission on my S40 Volvo went out at 104,000 miles..sounds like a lot of miles but I take care of my cars and keep them around a while..A local shop in the Antelope valley said they had some success in rebuilding this type of transmission..I didn't find that a glowing self testimony. After asking around I called and spoke to Mr DeBasc at Westside Transmission and heard what I wanted to hear.. they had experience with my type of car and new it well and offered a 24 month warranty , proof is in the pudding and the pudding is doing fine.. got back the car within the qouted time (not long) and it is working as it should ..my frist time having to have a transmission rebuilt, not something any of us want to do..but I found these guys on top of their game. I work relatively close to Westside Transmission and decided to take my car there per a friend's recommendation. Being on a break from work, the owner, Jack, knew I was on a time crunch. Upon arriving, my car was taken to the back and was looked at my a team of friendly mechanics. Shortly after returning to work, I received a call from Jack telling me what the problem was with my vehicle. Stereotypically female, I didn't really know what the problem was and how urgent it was that it be resolved, and Jack took several minutes to thoroughly explain the problem, how it related to other parts in the car and how quickly the problem should be taken care of. After speaking with Jack, I decided to have the problem taken care of right away and was very pleased to receive a call the next day that my car was ready for pick-up. I highly recommend Jack and his team of mechanics to get the job done quickly, efficiently and at a fair price.

Great local transmission shop! My Volvo is running great. Their charge was competitive with the other shops around. Great warranty! I recommend them.

A few months ago I was deciding between getting my transmission replaced from the VW dealership or getting it rebuilt with Westside Transmission. Jack gave me the pro's and con's of both choices. I decided to go with getting it rebuilt with Westside Transmission mainly because it sounded like Jack knew what he was talking, it was a bit cheaper than getting a new one, and it's a AAA approved service location. After the initial service we still had a problem. After we brought it back in a few weeks later they dissassebled the transmission again and fixed the problem. It was a minor inconvenience but the 1 year warranty on their transmission service saved the day.
