The last 4 or 5 times I've taken a vehicle into Westside Transmission, I've been satisfied with the great personal service and honesty, and my vehicle is returned to me in an acceptable amount of time. This last time, Kirk had to build a new compressor on my Mercedes. They are honest, nice people that do a good job.

Westside Transmission did one vehicle for me about four years ago, and I was happy then. They were conscientious and considerate. I found that it was the exact same thing this most recent time. They rebuilt my transmission and noticed a few other issues, like some substantial oil leaks. They were very conscious of preventative maintenance, and they were personable and knowledgeable. I'd like to go back again.

I had to get my valve body rebuilt. Initially they were going to rebuild my whole transmission, but they found another option that was more affordable and helped work within my budget. They told me it would be about 3 days to fix, but got it done in 1.5.

They're very professional. I've had great experiences, especially for something as stressful as transmission going out. They're knowledgeable, patient, and kind.

I had my transmission done by these guys a few months back. Not only did they do a great job, but I was able to pick-up my car on time. The price I was quoted was even lower when the work was completed. There's nothing like great service, quality, and saving money in these times. I would highly recommend them if you want excellent service and quality work done on you auto.

I have a 99 Chrysler Town & Country and its transmission finally gave out. Before going to Westside Transmission, I called several places. In terms of pricing, pretty much everyone was on the same playing field (except the dealer who originally told me my transmission died and were charging double the price quotes I got). I did find someone who could do it for much less than everyone else, but it was one of those "jack-of-all-trades" mechanics and that's fine if you want a simple oil change or brake pad replacement. But if you're talking about a major fix like a transmission, it's best to go to a place that specializes in transmissions. The truth is, no matter how many times you call a place, you really won't know if it's the right place to bring your car until you bring it there. Luckily, I made the right choice and I was quite happy I went with Westside Transmission. From the onset, they were easy to talk to (I specifically spoke with Kirk), upfront and honest about what they need to do in order to get a better idea of what needs to be done. They don't just throw out a dollar figure without asking what's wrong first. When I got to their office, it was clean and they were very professional. When I left my car, Kirk called me several times to keep me abreast of what was going. But, most of all, what I really appreciated was that they stuck to the price they said would take to fix my minivan - no surprise add ons. I got my van when it was promised and it's been working great since I got it back. In all, I had a great experience with Westside Transmission and have "peace of mind" knowing that my car was taken care of the right way, the people were professionals and honest, and the money I paid was well spent.

Went in earlier today because my car was making some funny noises. As they started shortly after I had my transmission fluid flushed, I was worried it was a transmission issue. Right after I walked in, we took a quick ride, within a few minutes he told me that the transmission was 100% fine and it was just my power steering fluid was low. He showed me where the dip-stick for power steering fluid was and where to put it in and said to put some more in, then check it once a week to see if it's leaking and if so how much it's leaking. Said if it's very little, just to keep topping it off, but if it goes down quickly to come back and see him. Didn't charge me a penny, didn't make anything up so he could charge me a penny, gave me cheap thing to try before paying for an expensive repair, and the only damage done was the $6 at autozone for the powers steering fluid. Friendly and honest.

Both John (front person) and Jack (owner) were knowledgeable, courteous, and sensitive to my concerns. I went in for a diagnostic review one day and returned a few days later. My car was serviced within a few hours and the repairs suggested by another repair service were not necessary. My time and costs were minimal in comparison. I've already recommended Westside Transmission to friends.

I needed to replace my transmission (Jaguar XK8 / 1997). After doing a little researching (I selected Westside Transmission). I'll start this review with why I selected Westside. 1. I received two quotes from Jaguar dealers (Hornburg, and Thousand Oaks). Both quotes were over $7,000 to replace the transmission. Both of these dealers originally instructed me that the transmission fluid never needed to be replaced (life long transmission fluild). Long story ,short - you must replace the transmission filter and fluid ever 20K period. The dealers love to sell their clients transmissions! 2. After speaking with John (service manager) and Jack DeBasc (owner) - I had my car serviced at Westside. 3. Jack and his team were professional: no surprises, a fraction of the dealer quote, and took care & time to get the job done. 4. I have owned my Jag for over 11 years and have good knowledge of the engine/electric components. Jack knew more than I did - I plan to bring my car for annual servicing. If you need your transmission, engine or electrical work (CPU modules) you must check these guys out! Its your car (and money). Thanks Jack.

Jack is the best--he keeps my 1999 Passat running. He's extremely knowledgeable, reliable, and honest. A straight-shooter and very nice guy. Prices are reasonable too.
