I took my car in this morning with severe problems. They looked at the mileage and model year (44k, 2005) and asked it there was anyway it was under warranty. i checked the book and it looked like it wasn't, but when I called the dealer, it still was. I had bought the car as "certified pre-owned" and they extend the warranty. He was so honest to point that out and press the issue. He totally could have just rebuilt my transmission and I would never have known any better.

I have to say, these guys are awsome!!!! i took my lexus to the dealer, they have stated i need a rebuild transmission. they quoted me a price which would set me back...... My sister advised me to call Westside Transmission. she had her vehicle worked on there. She was very happy with the repair and the service. Westside trasmission quoted me a price which was over $1900 cheaper than the dealer. They said it would take 2 to 3 days to comleted the repair and actualy completed it in time. they stood by their price quote and even called me during the repair for updated. I'm very happy with the repair and the service i got and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs transmission work. Just AWSOME!!!!

If you need work done on your transmission this is the place to go. The owner of the shop Jack is very nice, honest, knowledgeable and patient. He will go over the details of your cars problems. He will explain and show you what the problems are and what it will take to fix it. The people that work there are extremely extremely knowledgeable. They also work pretty fast. They are a bit pricey but nothing compared to the dealers, and if your thinking of taking your car to one of does backyard mechanics to save money, don't. You get exactly what you pay for, cheap. When I drove my car out of there it was like new. If you have any problems with your transmission I highly recommend taking it to Westside Transmissions.

I own an Audi with a CVT shiftless Transmission. Apparently, no shop is able to work on these units other than replacing it with a transmission form the Audi dealer. I’ve contacted at least 20 shops just to find out they are not able to work on it. The dealer wanted to charge me $7600.00 to replace my transmission. I’ve contacted AAA for a referral; they told me about Westside Transmission which was an approved transmission repair facility for AAA. To my surprise, they did work on these cars and were able to repair my car for a bit more than half of what I would have paid at the dealer. They were very nice and honest (something I’m not used to when it comes to auto repair), my car drives great thanks to Jack at Westside Transmission. If you need transmission work done, do yourself a favor and call Westside transmission.

I hope that my experience will be a good lesson to others. When my Toyota's transmission failed and my regular mechanic told me they do not do transmission work but recommend I contacted Westside Transmission. I went to see Jack at Westside Transmission and was told that my transmission needed to be rebuilt and what it would cost. I started doing some research and found rebuilt transmissions from an online store for dirt cheap. I decided to buy one online and have my local mechanic install it which I thought would have saved me a lot of money. Well, it all started going downhill when I realized I had received the wrong transmission then the online store ended up saying that they do not have the right one in stock but that they would UPS my old transmission to their facility to be rebuilt. It took them 3 weeks to get it back to me. After getting it to my local mechanic and having it installed my mechanic calls me after 2 days stating this transmission does not work right (Keep in mind how long I've been without my car). I contacted the online store about it and they said, "The problem is with the vehicle and not the transmission". To make a long story short, I've been without my car for three and a half months, ended up suing the online store with no resolution yet paying for the labor to install the transmission which did not work. I've contacted Jack at Westside Transmission and told him my story. He actually remembered talking to me initially. He agreed to take a look at my car and confirmed, the problem was the transmission and not the vehicle as suggested by the online store. At that point, I had to get it repaired and since I've found great reviews for Westside transmission online and that my local mechanic highly recommended Jack, I went ahead and authorized the repair. It took them only two days to get me back on the road. Westside transmission was great, honest and courteous and best of all my car runs perfectly. Jack explained that no matter where you decide to take your car to, the most important thing is that one shop will do the transmission work and install it as well. That way if there is a problem they can take care of it and not blame someone else. The moral of my story is that cheap prices and great quality cannot be combined. I've ended up spending MUCH more than I would have if I had Westside Transmission do the work from the get go. My experience with Westside Transmission was great, I highly recommend them for any type of transmission problems you might have, and this is the transmission shop to deal with.... Plain AWESOME!!!

Everything was so professional. I had no problems at all with the car and I was treated very courteously. I'd like to add that I just felt that they were fair and honest.

These guys rock! I took my 05 Mercedes in to the local Mercedes dealer. The dealer told me I needed to replace my transmission. After Westside transmission diagnosed the problem, they called me stating that I needed a sensor replaced. At first, I said how is it possible that the dealer said it needed a transmission and Westside transmission says my transmission did not need to be replaced? Well, Jack at Westside transmission was very knowledgeable and explained the problem in language I could understand. To make a long story short, Jack / Westside Transmission was right. The problem ended up being a bad sensor. I already and would highly recommend Westside Transmission to everybody I know. Like I said ... these guys ROCK! Not to mention the money I've saved by dealing with them.

Jack is the operator of the shop and fully understands what needs to be done. He communicates with you and gives you options. I won't say they're cheap, but they're good and back up their work and I'd say you get what you pay for in the auto repair business. I'd recommend them for transmission and even other work like brake jobs and tune ups.
